Linking decision-makers with communities

Before our renewal, we built a record of acting where it was needed, from emergency relief to bringing government and communities together to environmental education.

2017

KZN Storms Benefit Concert and Humanitarian Aid

After severe storms in KwaZulu-Natal, we moved quickly into emergency relief. With singer-songwriter Berita, Cell C and the Stop Hunger campaign, we held a benefit concert and organised the distribution of aid.

ResultFood and supplies reached affected families. The effort showed that we could bring in public figures and corporate social investment for emergency relief.
2018

KZN Women’s Empowerment Summit

A summit held with the KZN Premier’s Office, King Cetshwayo District Municipality and uMhlathuze Local Municipality. It brought together women from across the province, including representatives from Transnet and other companies.

ResultThe summit helped move the Women’s Agenda to the centre of district and provincial discussion, and established the Foundation as a trusted convener of government, state-owned companies and community leaders.
2019

SANParks and VW Limpopo Open Park Initiative

With SANParks and Volkswagen Limpopo, we took students to a national park for a hands-on biodiversity learning experience.
